He concurrently advises UK Athletics, the English Rugby Union, the English Cricket Board, British Swimming and the Football Association (Women) on high performance training and development. Retaining his long-term role [since '94] as Resident Sport Scientist at the National Coaching Institute(NCI-BC,) Victoria, Canada, Istvan is currently writing a series about long-term athlete development and periodization, to be published in Canada, Australia, the UK and the USA.
He also retains his role as a high performance advisor for the Canadian Sport Centers in Victoria and Vancouver. We expect to see more of him in Vancouver as the 2010 Olympics approach. |
