Lauren (Laureano Bisan Etame-Mayer) was, of course, one of the invincibles during the unbeaten season. In all he played league games for Arsenal, having played previously for Utrera, Sevilla, Levante, and Mallorca.

He left Arsenal in and moved to Portsmouth for two seasons before playing a final five games for Cordoba.

He also played 24 times for Cameroon winning two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and an Olympic Gold medal.

Since retiring he has played for Arsenal Legends and is an Arsenal ambassador for the continent of Africa. Because of his joint Spanish-Cameroon citizenship he is regularly employed on LaLiga TV and has worked for GOL TV, Sky Sports, and BBC Sport.

He now lives in Seville.
